The sand is made up of little feet that get thinner as we get closer to the water. It is one of the best sands of Cabo de Gata because it is very tasteful and takes off easily when we dry out.

The shore is quite uneven and immediately covers, so it is not a recommended beach for children to play in the water because a few meters from the shore we no longer make foot. This inlet into the rough water is a consequence of, with strong sea, the waves break on the beach and drag the sandy bottom. For this reason we warn that bathing on this beach is dangerous with strong lift wind, if the waves break hard the beach is cut off and it's hard to get out of the water.

To get to the cove of La Galera, the main access road is via the Al-5107 road, that joins Carboneras with Mojacar in Direction Murcia, direction Tower of Lightning. Access on foot from the road is recommended.

Located less than 4 km north of Carboneras (Almería) and 17 of Mojácar.
